Your state’s highest paid government employee

Probably the football or basketball coach at your big time university unless you live in Montana, the Dakotas, Alaska, Nevada, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Delaware or Vermont. And, now we know why Kansas Jayhawk football is soooo bad. Spend a little money you cheapskates! The funny thing is, Colorado football isn’t much better yet they spend a bunch on a coach that can’t coach, it seems. Maybe they should study state finances in the Dakotas and Montana.

About Mike
A resident of the “30 square miles surrounded by reality,” I spend most of my time teaching economics and statistics to undergraduate students. I enjoy, naturally, economics and business, but also science (I was once an astronomical observatory assistant), politics, photography, food, travel and sports. Madison has grown quite a bit since 1978 when Governor Lee Dreyfus made that remark. According to Wikipedia, Madison is 67.3 square miles of land and 16 square miles of water. I’ve got about a hundred of your blog posts in my inbox that I’ve been meaning to go through. I’m finally doing it. Great infographics on some of these.
